Comfort Rooted in Legacy

The Emerald’s journey began long before it became a hotel. What started as a residential project took a new direction when our founder, Mr. Jashwant Mehta, returned from New York after completing his Master’s degree. That was his first experience of serviced apartment homes with the convenience of hotel services, ideal for long stays.
 

At that time, this concept did not exist in India. Seeing a gap for NRIs, long-stay travellers and families visiting, he worked to get serviced apartments formally recognised under India’s hospitality industry. His proposal reached the Tourism Ministry and was eventually discussed in Parliament, leading to MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation) creating the first framework for serviced apartments in the country.

The Emerald went on to become the first deluxe serviced apartment officially recognised in India a milestone that shaped who we are even today.

Today, as a 4-star graded hotel, we continue to offer reliable comfort, essential amenities, and the warmth of a stay that still feels like home.
